This system is fantastic, complete system with great HD picture quality both day and night. The system features includes having event logs where there is a "marker" when motion is detected, this means you can go straight to the event "marker" to view the event. Very easy to playback and view recorded events. The Guard viewer App can be dowloded to your phone or other device where you can view live or playback from anywhere you are - great for home security. Bought this kit based on reviews re the app and service. Very simple to install and set up. Lots of cable supplied in the kit made positioning very flexible. The app works very well and means you can fine tune the cameras easily to protect areas. Customer service are quick to respond. Easy to add to for future.

The system is straightforward to set up. The app was somewhat problematic to register, but about 4 or 5 goes registration was successful. This is my first ever security system and I did expect a wider field of view per camera, which is a bit of a pain if you're trying to cover a reasonably sized room. In my case it was my living room and one camera only covers a small area. I guess if you've got an 8 camera set up you'd be able to fill in the gaps. Picture quality is just 5mp so don't expect the crystal clear images you'll see in the manual. There's a great length on the cables, but they're black twin cables, so they're noticeable. I'll have to either paint them or run them through some coving or conduit. I like the fact you can monitor from your phone, but I can't seem to find the off switch...not in the app or on the recording box. The monitoring feature is nice, but I'd like to disconnect it whenever I choose. I just don't like the idea of others/3rd parties being able to gain access to your feed via a network. It's just a thought. Most of the features on the app don't do anything, and I'm not sure if there's a compatibility issue or the app just isn't that great. You could check the manual, but good luck, there's nothing in it that covers it. The recording device menu smakes barely any sense to someone that doesn't understand the terminology. There are no breakdowns of how things actually work if you make a change, which leaves you stumped. There's a nice feature called smart motion detection, but it randomly stops sending notifications to my phone. Don't bother checking the manual because there's zero help in that. As for the sound quality, I can't really comment on that because I can't get it to record any. There's nothing in the manual to help so don't waste your time looking. I'll have to get onto Hiseeu support because it's a feature I need and paid for, so if it doesn't work it's time for a refund. Yeah, other than everything I've just typed, I like the system, but it feels disjointed and the manual is all over place and needs more information. Hiseeu, please do a step by step guide on YouTube. Not only could you do away with the useless manual and save on paper and printing costs, but you can also advertise your product to the world, not to mention help your customers understand how to use your products without wanting to return them... it's just a thought.

I did have some problems with the hard drive but a few days doing test guided by Jason the company rep and it proved it to be faulty and it was replaced and I installed it. Very good for the money.

I am impressed with the video, But the camera offer speakers on each camera but do not offer 1 or 2 way sound. Also the pan feature does not work on either the dvr menu or through the phone app.

The only complaint I have is the directions are not worded correctly and they NEED TO GO into details of how to use settings. The directions are terrible. The product is great 👍but invest a little of the millions of dollars your making on better, complete , and correct English DIRECTION MANUAL.

Ordered this a month or so ago, and I just got it installed. I will say that I was surprised by the picture quality since it is not full HD but analog especially what people say about analog. Simple to use and at a great price. I definitely recommend if you don't want to spend alot.
